We LOVE Kristen at The Pink House! She is a staff and locals favorite here. She has a wonderful quality to her voice and a warm, easy delivery that pulls her audience into some far away, Northeastern living room, where a glass of whiskey warms you as much as the fireplace and the fuzzy sweater you’re wearing. Her playing, whether on piano or guitar, is very solid and leaves enough space for her voice and personality to shine through her modern classic song choices. She is a gift to the music scene in the Lake Tahoe region, and we are honored to showcase her talents at The Pink House. Don’t miss her wonderful, intimate performances here.

Born and raised on Long Island Rick began playing guitar in the early 70’s at the age of sixteen. After a couple years playing acoustic, he met up with another guitarist and started playing duo gigs at local coffee houses and wine and cheese cafes and playing contemporary folk-rock. His songs consisted of groups like America, Crosby Sills and Nash, Simon and Garfunkel, Creedence Clearwater Revival, John Denver etc.
In 1981, he moved to Nevada and has played in many bands over the years and was the front man of most of those bands, playing both acoustic and electric guitars, and singing both folk rock and classic rock.
About 20 years ago he decided I wanted to dive into country and was introduced to Rick Hays and his band, Rick Hays and American Steel, a local country/country rock band. He has been playing with Rick ever since and has been both rhythm and lead guitarist as well as singing lead and backup vocals over the years. He is now looking to share his playing and singing talents as a soloist playing a combination of my early folk-rock days and more recent country classics.
The Christmas Eve Eve show at The Pink House has turned out to be one of the coolest events we do. We serve homemade eggnog from our friend Boomer, then we welcome lots of local musicians on the porch, as well as local carolers and LOTS of good old fashioned Christmas spirit! We even get a visit from Jolly Ole St Nick!!
The Imposters started out as a cover band (hence the name) in Northern California, always putting their own twist on songs, but quickly transforming into a deeper more expressive band writing songs about personal life and experiences. Their influences range from Fleetwood Mac Tyler Childers to Katie Pruitt and The Civil Wars.
Their roots come from singing and playing in the church and ventured out into playing for the masses. Kristen, the lead singer, has been singing her entire life with her most influential experiences being an African gospel choir she was a part of in college. "I learned how to sing by ear, how to sing with passion, and how to be true to herself."

Piles of fresh crab
Big Caesar salad
San Francisco-style sourdough
Melted gold (aka garlic butter)
and to keep with tradition: Stephanie’s mom’s famous spaghetti – yep, served with crab... it’s weird, we know.
